How to Configure Your Blog's Post List Page
Introduction
The Post list page is your blog's archive: it shows published posts as cards with images, titles, and excerpts. On systeme.io, you configure how many posts appear, layout style, spacing, and card design—without touching code. This page is required and cannot be deleted.
This guide expands How to configure your blog's post list page.
What You Need
- A systeme.io account ( plan)
- An existing blog ( create a blog)
- At least one published blog post to preview listings
Step 1: Open the Post List Page Editor
Accessing the blog's post list page:
- Go to Blogs on the Sites tab
- Click your blog's name
- Click Pages to review blog pages
- Locate Post list page
- Click the three dots → Edit
The page opens inside your blog layout (header/footer from Blog Layout; listing lives in the page body).
Step 2: Blog Post Listing Options
Click the blog post listing element on the page, or use the left settings panel. You can modify:
Blog post listing
- Number of posts per page — pagination size
- Vertical spacing — gap between rows/cards
Post listing settings
- Post listing layout — choose the layout preset for the grid/list
Post card settings
- Blog post image position — where the cover image sits on each card
- Background colors, shadow, style, and padding — card chrome
- Image — treatment on the card thumbnail
Information shown on each card comes from post metadata (title, short description, image, categories) defined when you create posts.
Latest Blog Posts (Home or Other Pages)
Besides the full Post list page, you can add a Latest blog posts element on Home or custom blog pages. From its settings:
- Number of posts to display
- Vertical space
- Horizontal display — row/carousel-style teasers
- Image — shadows, corner radius, margin
Use this for a homepage teaser; keep the Post list page for the full archive on systeme.io.
Step 3: Save and Preview
- Save changes in the page editor
- View blog and open the post list URL
- Confirm pagination, card layout, and mobile wrapping
Categories and Archives
Category archives ( blog categories) use their own URLs; post list page shows all posts. Align menu links so “Blog” or “Posts” points to this page ( blog menu).
Troubleshooting
Listing empty
No published posts or wrong blog selected.
Cards look uneven
Mix of missing cover images—require images on posts; adjust image position.
Too many posts on one screen
Lower posts per page; check you edited Post list page, not only Latest blog posts widget.
