How to Create a Blog with systeme.io
Introduction
A blog on systeme.io is ideal when you publish articles regularly and want many content pages—often paired with email capture and funnels. You build it under Sites → Blogs: pick a template, set domain and URL path, then manage posts, pages, and categories from one dashboard.

What You Need
- A systeme.io account ( plan with blog feature)
- Optional: a custom domain connected for branded URLs
For only a few static pages, a sales funnel website may be simpler than a full blog.
Step 1: Create the Blog
- Open the Sites tab
- Click Blogs
- Click Create
- In the popup, enter a Name for your blog
- Select the Blog domain (systeme.io subdomain or connected custom domain)
- Set the URL path (e.g.
/blogor root if this is your main site) - Choose a template (preview templates before saving—you start from a template, not a blank site)
- Click Save
Your new blog appears in the list. Open it anytime by clicking its title on systeme.io.
Step 2: Layout, Preview, and Settings
Inside your blog, open the Pages tab for structure and design tools:
- Blog layout — global look shared across blog pages (menus, headers)
- View blog — live preview as visitors see it
- Blog settings — change name, domain, URL path, and language
Note: When you create a blog, an RSS feed is automatically generated. It updates each time you publish a new post. Copy the feed URL from blog settings for newsletters or podcast directories.

Step 3: Posts, Pages, and Categories
Use the blog sub-menu:
- Posts — articles ( create a blog post)
- Pages — static pages like About or Contact ( create a blog page)
- Categories — organize posts ( create a category)
On each tab, click + Create (or Create) to add content. To edit or delete, use the three dots → Edit or Delete.
Note: The Home page and Post list page cannot be deleted—they are essential to the blog structure. About and Contact pages can often be removed or replaced.
Tune how every post looks with post layout (title, image, categories, content blocks).
Template Default Content
The template you selected ships with sample posts, pages, and categories. Edit them to match your brand or delete sample posts you do not need—keep mandatory pages intact.
Use the Blog as Your Main Website
To make the blog homepage your site’s main URL, adjust blog settings so the homepage path is your root URL (clear extra path segments per website methods guide).
Troubleshooting
Domain not in dropdown
Connect the domain under Settings → Domains first.
Cannot delete a page
Home, Post list, and Search pages are required on many templates.
RSS not updating
Publish posts (not only drafts); confirm feed URL in blog settings.
