How to Create a Blog Page
Introduction
Blog pages are static pages on your site—About, Resources, Legal, or custom landings—distinct from dated posts in the Posts tab. On systeme.io, you add them under Sites → Blogs → Pages → Create, then design them in the visual editor like funnel pages.
This guide follows How to create a blog page.
What You Need
- A systeme.io account ( plan)
- An existing blog ( create a blog)
Default Pages When You Create a Blog
When you create a new blog, systeme.io generates sample pages (typically Home, About, Posts listing, Contact, and Search, depending on template).
- Home page, Post list page, and Search page — mandatory (cannot delete)
- About and Contact — can be edited or deleted if you replace them
Edit defaults via the three dots → Edit, or add new pages alongside them.
Step 1: Open the Pages Section
- Go to Sites
- Click Blogs
- Click your blog’s name
- In the blog menu, open Pages
Step 2: Create a New Blog Page
- Click Create
- Enter the Blog page name (internal/admin label and default title)
- Enter the URL path (e.g.
/resourcesor/about-me) - Click Create a blog page to save
Your new page appears in the list. You can change name and path later via three dots → Settings on systeme.io.
Step 3: Edit and Manage the Page
Use the three dots menu on each page:
- View — preview as a visitor
- Edit — open the page editor (add rows, text, images, forms)
- Duplicate — copy the page
- Don’t use blog layout — page uses its own layout instead of the shared blog template
- Settings — change page name and URL path
- Delete — remove the page (not available for mandatory pages)
Save changes in the editor before exiting. Link new pages in your blog menu.
Pages vs Posts
Posts ( create a blog post) are articles with publish dates, categories, and RSS updates. Pages are fixed URLs for evergreen content. Use pages for legal text, team bios, or tool lists; use posts for SEO articles.
Troubleshooting
Cannot delete a page
Home, Post list, and Search are required for blog structure.
404 on new path
Check URL path spelling; avoid conflicting with category or post slugs.
Page looks wrong vs rest of site
Keep blog layout enabled, or customize via Blog layout for global chrome.
Contact systeme.io support with blog name and page path.
