How to Create a Blog Post
Introduction
Blog posts are your dated articles—SEO content, tutorials, news—organized by categories and pushed to your RSS feed. On systeme.io, you create posts under Sites → Blogs → Posts, set metadata (title, URL, image, categories), then open the editor to write the body inside the post layout shell.

What You Need
- A systeme.io account ( plan)
- An existing blog ( create a blog)
- Optional: categories for organization
Step 1: Open the Posts Section
- Navigate to Blogs on the Sites tab
- Click the title of your blog
- Go to the Posts section
Default sample posts may exist from your template—you can edit them via three dots → Edit or delete unused samples with Delete.
Step 2: Create a New Post
- Click Create
- Fill in the popup fields:
- Title — headline on the post and in listings
- Short description — teaser on blog listing pages
- URL path — slug for the post URL (keep it short, hyphenated)
- Image — cover image for the post and listing cards
- Categories — one or more categories ( create categories first if needed)
- Click Save to create the post
After saving, the post appears in the list. You can change these settings later from post settings on systeme.io.
Step 3: Edit Post Content
To customize the article body:
- Click the three dots → Edit, or click the post name
The editor opens the post content area defined by your post layout (title, image, categories, and content blocks). Add text, images, buttons, and embeds like any funnel page. Save changes before leaving.
Publishing and RSS
When your blog was created, an RSS feed was generated automatically and updates each time you publish a new post. Copy the feed URL from blog settings for email tools or syndication.
Best Practices
- Match URL path to the topic keyword for SEO
- Use a consistent cover image size for listing grids
- Assign at least one category so filters and menus work
- Embed lead forms via form or popup on blog inside the post editor if needed
Troubleshooting
Post not on listing page
Confirm post is saved/published; check post list page settings for posts per page.
Broken post URL
URL path conflict with a page or category path—use a unique slug.
Image missing on cards
Re-upload cover image in post settings.
