How to Add the Order Summary to the "Thank You" Page

How to add the order summary to the Thank You page on systeme.io

Introduction

After checkout, buyers expect a clear confirmation—what they bought and for how much. On systeme.io, the Order Summary element does that automatically on your Sales Thank You page. You drag one block into the page editor; when a real customer lands there after paying, the platform fills in the correct product names, prices, and order details—no manual copy-paste per offer.

This guide follows How to add the order summary to the "Thank You" page and pairs with how to create a thank you page.

Sales Thank You vs Opt-in Thank You

Page typeWhen it showsOrder Summary?
Thank you page (Opt-in category)After subscribe / lead magnetNo
Thank you page (Sales category)After a purchaseYes

Important: An order summary can only be added to a "Sales Thank You" page. If you do not see the element, confirm the funnel step type—not a standard opt-in thank you.

What You Need

  • A systeme.io account ( any plan with funnels)
  • A sales funnel with an order form step before the thank you page ( order form / payment page)
  • Thank you step placed after checkout in the funnel flow (typically “next step” from the order form)

Step 1: Create or Open a Sales Thank You Page

  1. Open SitesSales funnels → your funnel
  2. Click Add step in the left funnel menu (or select an existing thank you step)
  3. Choose Thank you page from the Sales category—not Opt-in
  4. Pick a template and click Select, or start from scratch → Save
  5. Click Edit page to open the visual editor

Many order confirmation templates already include an Order Summary block—you may only need to style or reposition it.

Step 2: Add the Order Summary Element

  1. In the editor left panel, find Order Summary (often grouped with payment/checkout elements)
  2. Drag the element onto the page where you want the receipt (below headline, above download buttons, etc.)
  3. Adjust spacing, typography, and section background to match your brand
  4. Save the page

Dynamic data: You do not type product titles or amounts in the element. At preview with no sale, the block may look empty or placeholder-like—that is normal. After a live checkout (including order bumps and accepted upsells in the same order), systeme.io populates the summary from that transaction.

Step 3: Wire the Funnel Flow

Ensure buyers reach this page only after payment:

  • Order form step → next step = your Sales Thank You page
  • Payment gateways enabled on the funnel ( Stripe, PayPal, etc.)
  • Offer linked on the order form ( create an offer)

Multiple checkouts: One shared thank you page can work if all order forms point to the same URL/step; the summary still reflects that buyer’s purchase. For different messaging per package, duplicate thank you pages per branch ( funnel structure).

Step 4: Test a Real Purchase

  1. Complete a test or low-ticket sale through the live order form
  2. Land on the thank you page and confirm the summary shows correct line items and total
  3. Optionally add next-step CTAs (course access, community, support)—summary is for confirmation, not delivery alone

Invoices may still go by email separately ( receive invoices automatically).

Best Practices

  • Keep a short “You’re in!” headline above the summary—reassurance first, receipt second
  • Do not rely on the summary alone for digital delivery—use access rules, email, or buttons as needed
  • Match thank you page language to your offer currency and tax display settings

Troubleshooting

Order Summary not in the elements list

Page is not a Sales Thank You type—recreate the step from the Sales category.

Summary empty after purchase

Buyer did not complete payment; wrong thank you URL (direct visit without checkout); or funnel redirect bypasses the sales thank you step.

Wrong product shown

Multiple offers on one form—verify which offer was selected; test each checkout path.

Contact systeme.io support with funnel URL and a test transaction ID if needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Order Summary required?

Not mandatory, but strongly recommended for trust and support tickets—it is the on-page receipt.

Can I customize which columns show?

Use element and section styling in the editor; line content is driven by the order, not static text fields.
