How to export students and their course progress data

If you need a complete overview of your students and how far they have progressed in your courses, systeme.io lets you export this data easily to a CSV file. This is perfect for reporting, analysis, or backup purposes.

Here is the complete step-by-step guide.

1. Go to the Students list

Log in to your systeme.io account.

Navigate to Assets → Courses.

Click on the Students tab. You will see the full list of everyone who has access to your courses.

2. Select the students to export

Check the boxes next to the students you want to include in the export.

You can select one, several, or all students.

Tip: If you apply a course filter using the search bar, only the data related to that specific course will be exported. Without a filter, the export includes progress across all enrolled courses for the selected students.

Once selected, click the Export to CSV button at the bottom of the screen.

3. Configure and export the CSV

A popup will appear where you can:

• Select the data columns you want to include (name, email, progress, enrollment date, etc.)
• Choose your preferred CSV delimiter (comma, semicolon, etc.)

Click Export.

When the export is ready:

• You will receive an in-app notification
• An email will be sent to the workspace owner with a secure download link

The download link is valid for 3 days only for security reasons.

Important notes

• This feature is available only to workspace owners and admins
• The file is sent to the workspace owner’s email address
• Using a course filter limits the export to that course only
• The export contains progress data so you can see completion percentages for each student
